National Highway 948A is an under-construction access-controlled expressway that will connect Bengaluru, Karnataka to Hosur in Tamil Nadu. Also known as the Bengaluru Satellite Road (STRR Project), the national highway aims to integrate the Kempegowda International Airport, the Chennai Port-Maduravoyal elevated expressway and 12 major satellite townships into one infrastructure network for the mobility of freight and passengers.

The new highway construction project under the auspices of the Bharatmala Pariyojna, the flagship roads & highways infrastructure scheme of the Government of India entails construction work along STRR (West side)-NH948A-Balagondapalli (Tamil Nadu) to Karnataka/Tamil Nadu Border from Km 144.170 to Km 179.936 (35.766 Km) in the State of Tamil Nadu.
